Vibration Problem

My dealer cant look at the truck for a couple weeks but have a random vibration going on. Without towing the vibration comes and goes, sometimes its smooth as can be. Its felt 80% in the seat, it happens above 35 mph but speed doesn't seem to effect it much. It doesnt change while accelerating or braking or if I put it in neutral when its doing it. It does seem to happen more after the first 5-10 minutes of driving. When Im towing my 5th wheel its worse, can see the passenger seat shaking, it almost makes the wife sick, same thing though its not all the time but it happens more when towing.

Wow.....hope you discover the cause. Seems like it could be a true safety issue.

I would suspect a bad tire, maybe a belt separation issue, happening after 5-10 minutes because the tire is fully warmed up.
I'd take it to the tire store and get them to check the tires, since it is coming through the seat and not the steering wheel, would figure to be a rear tire.
You could also rotate the tires and see if that changes anything.

I was thinking this, the tires are fairly new. Didn't know if a tire problem would come and go though.

It could happen intermittently, or at times you just can't feel it.
It's also a good place to start the diagnosis, and no need to wait for the dealer.
Also, I am guessing you want to take it to the dealer due to warranty?
Tire issues will not be covered under the factory warranty, unless you bought an additional tire warranty.

They installed the tires so checking would be free, if it ends up being in the drivetrain its also under warranty

He put it on a drive on rack with middle jacks and ran it in the air while checking over the drive train. Was able to feel the vibration in the driveshaft.
