I have a 1994 f150xlt 4x4 supercab and recently my airbag light on the dash has been bliking code 32. Can anyone help me with this problem?
1. Is the airbag light the fault code light for this truck
2. What is code 32?
3. Any corrective action for code 32

My brother has the same problem with his F-150 4x4, 1994. We have not repaired the problem yet, but have purchased parts for the repair. A friend of mine told me that the contact brushes in the steering column are starting to ware out. When these brushes stop making full contact, this signal will show for the airbag & you may notice that you horn will sometimes not work properly. The Ford dealership that we deal with had the part in stock. This was a truck dealership so they had the part in stock on a regular basis. Good luck...

Paul is correct. code 32 indicates a faulty clock spring.

Code 32 identifies a high resistance/open circuit between the air bag controller and the air bag. This is most likely the slip ring in the steering column. The slip ring allows for an electrical circuit to pass from a fixed part to a rotating part, such as a steering column to a steering wheel. The Helm service manual says there should be no more than 2 ohms resistance in this circuit (one ohm for the air bag and one ohm for the slip ring). DO NOT MEASURE THE RESISTANCE OF THIS CIRCUIT WITH AN OHM METER! You can set off the air bag. Go to an electronics store and buy a one ohm resistor. Disconnect the battery. Remove the air bag from the steering column and place the resistor in the connector that comes out of the steering column. Reconnect the battery to allow the controller to reset. Turn on the ignition and see if the light still blinks. If it does, then you need a new slip ring ($120). If it doesn't, then you need a new air bag ($650). I just did this procedure this summer and I only needed the slip ring. I think this is fairly common. When replacing the slip ring, you must disassemble the ignition lock to remove a connector. Find a manual which shows how to do this correctly.

First let me say sorry for being so late in returning to this great site. All the responses were fantastic! I found all of you very helpful. It was the clock spring causing an intermittant problem. I had one of my local mechs fix it and haven't seen the code since.
Thanks to everyone who sent a response I'll keep you all in mind, who knows, maybe I'll be able to help you one day

Again thanks for the support Todd
