Is there any easy way to fix a rock chip on my hood? Just discovered it when i was washing and waxing my truck. I do have matching touch up paint but it tends to not come out so well. Thanks !

Go to pharmacy and get a diabetic syringe, mix the paint up really good and draw some up, and then apply to rock chip… this keeps the paint in the exact spot you need it, put a little more than needed (rounded on top), let dry and buff out level.
Depending on the color of the truck and the size of the chip, I've used Dr. Colorchip with good results. Star white I've heard is pretty impossible to match, metallics can be tough on larger chips but the Dr. Colorchip touch up kit has been working well for me on a few past vehicles.
Head to dollar tree and get cheap nail polish that matches as best you can. Apply it let it sit, it should fill the chip and self level. If not it is lacquer paint and can be leveled with thiner.

Skip the nail polish and use the proper touch up paint. Come on... He already said he had the touch up pain on hand.

I highly suggest using the two part touchup paint. It will look the best. Using lacquer on water based paint doesn't work well. You can get the touch up kits from www.automotivetouchup.com.
