Seats

I know this has been up here a few times already. I was just wondering if someone has come up up with something new, or knows of somewhere to get good looking seats cheap.

I'm missing the armrest on my drivers seat, that and it is really worn. (All I really want is the arm rest.)

One last thing. My 84 has left and right armrests, my 89 has them only on the inboard sides. Is this normal?

Thanks!

I had the same issue with my '88. The seats were pretty much shot. I ended up looking in one of the classified ads magazines. I found a set of seats from a '97 Camaro (I know a Chevy) that were in great shape. I fabricated some brackets from 1/8 steel and bolted them in. Only cost $200 vs the $600 and up for new aftermarket seats. I never had any luck finding decent Bronco seats.

I bought a set off ebay. They're actually in nice shape, but they didn't come with brackets.

So.. I had to buy *another* set of seats from the junkyard. I took the brackets off and gave the seats away. It cost me a little over $200 all told.

All my non-Bronco friends think I'm nuts. But they don't understand how hard these seats are to get in decent shape.
