Is there a way to test the electronics of the cruise servo before installing? I want to make sure it's not bad before I install. The white flakes are from the original corroded servo gearbox.
In the video he refers to pin point tests which are part of the EVTM or WSM for your year and model. Since you don't list your year, chassis or fuel type that's about all the info I can/will provide.

Thanks. I've watched that video about 5 times before. He refers to pinpoint functions, which I get. I'm looking to test the pins for dead spots or shorts.

If you're trying to test the electronic control part of that era servo I don't think the information is available to us peons. For the most part those servos work or they don't---once you've established the chassis wiring and steering wheel controls are working to spec the only real remedy is replacing the servo.
Even if you're able to determine which pin or part of the servo's control "brain" might be faulty since its components are potted there's no practical or "easy" way to repair it. Whoever made those parts for Ford would not publish that information to force us into buying new components.
