Has anyone tried building a box for these trucks using only the box sides and their own structure? We all know these are getting hard to find and yes we can buy all the parts but that gets real expensive real fast, especially shipping to Canada. Just a thought, I have been kicking around. I'm not at all interested in " stock" and I have heard about using newer boxes with the dent side box sides on them.
I am sure it can be done, if you can work sheet metal to match the contour of the bedside. Or get a piece cut off a bed side and turn it into a door. Or if can find just a door and make the rest of the box. But getting the lip part to seal will be the challenge.
