Intake plenums

I finally got around to hooking up a boost leak tester after installing kc stage 2. I found a pretty good leak on the intake plenum. Guessing the silicone failed. I figured I might as well upgrade to a billet intake plenum. has anyone installed an irate diesel intake plenum? They are the cheapest aftermarket I could find but I don’t want to buy something that’s junk. I don’t mind spending more for the beans or riff raff ones if they are worth the extra price. Anyway thanks for your time...

Personally I would either go back and reseal your stock ones or go with the quality billet from Riffraff Diesel. As far as I have seen they are the only ones to have the custom sealing o-ring. I wouldn't bother with the over-priced welded flat ones as they aren't really much less than full billet, though they should be, and you are still relying on RTV to seal them up. If you use RTV to seal your stock ones be sure to use Motorcraft TA-31.

I would prefer these though.

If you are running higher boost levels then stock I would do the riff Raff ones hands down. If just running stock with a tuner then the resealed stock plenums are fine

I agree the riffraff or beans plenums, look great.
but for me that's not in the budget. For $90 shipped these showed up dead flat and looking just as the ad showed them. As for fitment I'll find out this weekend.

Riffraff and beans are nice, riffraff install is nice due to no ta31 needed.
Just a thought, I have 21 year old oem ones on one truck, riffraff inserts, I routinely see 38-40 psi of boost, zero leaks, never been resealed.
My centuriin has Beans, simply because I needed them since it was an e99 with smaller openings, they were neat looking, so I got em lol

Thanks for the input guys. For those that have replaced the plenums did you have to pull the turbo and or fuel bowl? I wish I would have at least resealed my stock ones while I had turbo pedestal and bowl out already. Oh well lessons learned

I didn’t pull either the turbo nor the fuel bowl when I resealed my plenums last year. I also left all fuel and HPOP lines intact. Some of those bolts are a PITA to get off though, and I had to be creative in the different wrenches, sockets, universals, and drivers.

If resealing the stockers, use a wire wheel to clean up the old TA 31.

If not pulling any lines, do a couple of dry runs before applying the sealant to figure out the angle of approach. It’s like playing a game.
