I installed a remote in a 97 Chevy Silverado pick up truck it was straight forward but when I start the truck the starter will not stop and has to be shut down with the stop button or the starter will crank until it burns out.
The truck has no built in security system of any kind in it and I installed it in Tachless mode.
The Bulldog remote was cheap and I was thinking of puting one on my 95 F150 but I dont want to burn out my starter.

Well it wasn't my remote, but you must have installed it incorrectly. I have a Bulldog in mine and it works fine. Sounds like you've connected the start wire to the run relay instead of the start relay. Since you used tachless mode the start signal on the first try, only last around 3 seconds. On the 2nd try it goes around 6 seconds.
