Door Panel Trim

I’ve got some parts that I’m selling and I don’t know what everything is worth so far. I have the door panel trim with most all clips, so far someone has offered $60 for it all. I personally feel that is a little low. Only issue is top piece on passenger side is broken but everything else is there.

Any idea of what these parts go for?

I have seen them go for $300 on fleabay. That w3as a really nice set but the boomerang pieces are super hard to come by so they are what really matters.

boomerang part? Is that the small elbow at the back? I’ve luckily got both of that’s what you are speaking of

$60 is a very lowball offer according to the market. I usually see complete sets (both doors) go for 250-300.

I've got 3 complete sets, all of them have been anodized. I also have new clips. Whenever I list them no one wants. So it must be timing. I'm in no hurry so I will just sit on them.

If you included the screws you might have better luck.

Yeah, those two screws are a deal killer for sure. On another note, Gankstalker, how are you polishing those? Any time I try something with that many sharp edges on my 8" wheel I end up bloody with bent parts.

Here's a little secret, use a flat piece of metal, like a metal stake for support. It takes time to do these but you'll get the hang of it.

Do you sand it down and polish back going up in grits? Or straight to a polish compound after a good wash?

Got to strip the anodizing first I thought. Guess you could sand it off? Never tried.

I made these out of some .060 aluminum to hold the trim while I polished it. Just slip them on and tape them down. About three years ago I bought a set for the drivers door for $35 at the junk yard.

I have yet to polish mine so that jig looks like a great idea.

Most of the time, they bring a premium, however I have been fortunate to get the sets for both doors by being patient with a little bit of good fortune. I received enough for the straight pieces do do 2 1/2 sets of doors from a member on this forum for the price of shipping. I found homes for what I didn't need for the same price. I also got a complete passenger side set from a guy on facebook that needed the hole locations for factory trim on a door. He traded me his extra set for the template. The last piece I needed was the driver side elbow and I found one that had a hole in it, but it is a place holder. I'll get a good one eventually.
