1975 f250. No purist here. I prefer what works and is easy to find and affordable. It had a/c as the under dash factory setup is still there. The heater core and ac evaporator? have been disconnected inside the box so I figure I’m gunna have to pull the box to replace them both. I ordered a sanden 508 compressor and mount. I need a dryer and condenser that mounts in front of the radiator? Besides hoses anything else? Let me know what generic dryer and condenser you have that works. Thanks guys.
I think I got my drier and condenser on eBay. Went with sanden compressor. Don’t forget new expansion valve. Was going to buy whole kit from nostalgia air but pieced it together myself
Thanks guys. It looks like what I have is a dealer installed unit as mine doesn’t have the large blower motor extending into the engine compartment on the passenger side. I’ll snag some pics and figure out how to take it out and exchange the heater core and evaporator.
Well I tore the dash out to get the heater core and a/c core out. This is what I have. This the I assume dealer added a/c. Hope I can still get the core.
Anyone know where to get dealer installed a/c style part number 19860 and 19849?

It's not dealer AC, that's one of the many underdash units made back then and it's not worth fixing. Your options are now wide open, consider using the vintage air system.
Well in searching through past threads I came across a similar is not a copy setup from nostalgic air. So I’m gunna call them and see if they can help me out.
Thanks man. I called nostalgic air and she’s gunna call me back with a price on the evaporator and new lines and fittings. Hoping to get this done before the dog days of summer start.
I used the factory setup on mine. I had to drain the compressor oil, blow some flush through it, add some pag46 oil, and I had to replace the service valves with some for r134a. Cools pretty good. I'll try to fit an electric fan in addition to the mechanical factory fan, that'll come on when the air is on later. That'll make a huge difference.
400 bucks for a new evaporator and then 250 for new lines and fittings and condenser and dryer and valve from nostalgic air. Thought about just leak testing my evaporator but at 45 years old I’m just gunna replace it as I don’t wanna pull the dash off yet again later.
