Towing with F550

Towing with F550
So I do have my cdl but question is, I have a 2017 f550 with a dump I need to move equipment i normally move it with a smaller trailer but that is down, can I use a 25,000 give trailer to move that equipment or will dot give me a hard time because of gvw

EDIT: PS. How much weight are you registered for? That might be the catch, unless you register for the “potential” GVW. I was always registered for the maximum weight of whatever each individual state allowed. Just needed to make sure I had all the necessary equipment. But with your 550 you won’t be any where near max allowable weights.

If you are not over loaded on any axles or bridge, why would they?

Thanks, I’m not sure what we’re registered for. We normally tow a 10 ton Beaver and have gotten checked and they didn’t say anything, that one is out so my other trailer is a 25,000 Kaufman paving trailer, I would rather tow with that than our old dumbo truck. It’s only to move a hyundai55 and svl 95 (separately) which is well within the limits
