VSS issues
I have a 94 f150 4x4 auto. Rebuilt tranny. Was driving today and my VSS decided to detonate no speedo and initially tranny just said nope. Stopped put truck it 1st and was able to limp to o'Reilly's bought new vss. Was taking old vss out it came out in 2 pieces now I'm sure I have debris in my diff now. Was able to get it home and as I came to a stop I believe it broke again put in reverse which was working before and it just sound like gears grinding. My question is can I take diff cover off clean it real good or what would some of you recommend?

VSS does not touch anything... that's the way it works. If tone ring gets into sensor enough to damage it, you have things moving around in housing.
Think carrier bearings wore out or broken chunk of metal passing through air-gap.
