OK, it has been forever since I posted here, I came here in 2017 looking for information on diesel trucks as well as other sites that cater to other brands. Long story short I bought the 2017 Super Duty diesel and it has been a great truck, almost flawless and what more could you hope for.
Recently I had a trouble light come on and an occasional no start, that tuned out to be battery replacement (well two actually) problem solved.
I know this is likely not related but I have a dash alert that says my key fob battery needs replacing. So in the interim I pulled out the spare key, a key that has never been used and low and behold, same dash alert. I changed the battery on both but still get the alert and it is constant, like every 60 seconds.
This is not a deal breaker, really more of a nuisance but I would like to get that stopped if anyone has a clue
Put both keys in the cubby under the matt, in the middle console, so they can "re sync". I am assuming keyless, push button start. I did this and those warnings went away. Set up both keys so they do seat memory for two drivers even to know its working. This is what I had to do a few months back when got the low battery remote issue.
I haven't had any issues yet but do get the low battery in key fob message everytime I turn the truck on. I also found it strange that it wasn't one, but both fobs produce the alert.
