T-870 trans?
Would anyone know this type of trans (T-870-1 WG Div. SB1 M191). The numbers were taken off the side of the case. Could you tell me about the numbers and what they mean? Thanks, Monte

Thanks, for your reply. I am a newbe so please bear with me, the shifter sits on top of the trans at the floor board and the throwout bearing is controlled with a rod into the side of the clutch, rotated by the clutch petal. You mentioned covereplates?. The trans is in tack and appears to be ok, however, I think the clutch/presure plate is shot. I only have about an inch off the floor board before it will disengage and or engage. I got the truck a month ago and have started to go though it to see what it needs to be road worthy. In additon to the trans, the breakes will need to be addressed and the water pumps on the Flathead V8 replaced. Thanks again, Monte
