Hi,
I just got this on my Ford Pass App. this morning :
2019 Ford SuperDuty , PowerTrain Malfunction / Reduced Power Message,
Does anyone know what this is about ? and what causes it.
I haven't experienced it yet.
no recall notice or number or code,
just a message in my Ford Pass Message center.
Just says if you get the wrench to bring it in to your dealer,
very vague,
I'm sitting at the dealer now to get the truck serviced and they told me I had a recall they are going to take care of for the same thing mentioned

I never had anything show up in fordpass. That's why I was surprised when service guy said something.
It's possible that it is a transient error. The ECM tracks a lot of data, but won't necessarily through an indicator light, or code immediately. Sometimes it needs to detect readings outside of normal range a few times first. Wondering if Ford baked in some pre-warning that goes through Ford Pass? Basically a value has to be out of range 10 times to make the CEL come on, and throw a code. But if it happens 5 times, send a message over the cell network.
It never showed up in my app either, I just had a bunch of warning lights come on, went to ford and they told me about recall, for some reason I think they are keeping this on the hush until something happens or your truck is in for something else
Update,
I was talking to Ford about another matter and they mentioned to me that I had recall for my 19, and it was the one I saw on My Ford Pass app.
A PCM update or flash, that could have put my truck into limp mode.
I have yet to schedule it in for it but it will be soon. Ill try to find out more.

22 PSD (Lariat keyless entry)with less than 10K miles (airbags installed by 3rd party) - complete shutdown at 60mph. Powertrain malfunction/reduced power and 12 other alerts. Truck was running perfectly no over heating no problems. Won’t start even after 8 hours of battery disconnect. Had towed home as thought it was airbag install and would not be warrantied. Bought a code reader and it says No DTCs or freeze frame data presently stored on vehicles computer. Says Global OBD2 UO100(1/1) Pending Lost communication with ECM/PCM “A”.
Any ideas on how to communicate with this PCM without having to bring to dealer?
