I rebuilt a 215 back in 2012. At that time Egge was the only place with a kit, and they were expensive (like $100 per piston). I ended up watching ebay, the Ford Barn, the HAMB, and this site and piecing the engine parts together myself. Saved about $500 in parts doing that. One cost savings (that I didn't do) is to bore the cylinders +.0625 and use standard bore 223 pistons. I found a NOS set of +.030 pistons and used them.
I got a copy of the era Ford parts book and searched for the part numbers I needed. You may be surprised at the amount of parts for sale where the seller has no idea what it fits so the cost is low.
