My name is Eric and after a long time away from Ford...almost 24 years, I will be back in one as soon as it's built. My last Ford was the 95 Full-size Bronco which was totalled by a careless driver in Cortez Co. Still miss that rig to this day. Got in to Dodge trucks at that point with my latest having been a 2014 2500 6.7 diesel which after 7 yrs was traded in for my 2021 Iconic Silver 7.3 F350 Lariat 8' box crew cab dually.
While I loved my Dodge and the Cummins power, the visibility was about my only beef with the truck. It pulled my race trailer everywhere, but when you can't see because A and B pillars are blocking you, that's an issue. After sitting in the Ford, it became a no brainer. The view and open design of the windows are second to none and the room in the cab for my wife and two girls is stunning.
There may be some who would ask why leave a cummins? Honestly, while it is a solid platform and I enjoy working on diesels, there are a few areas where I travel that diesel is still an issue and... going back to gas meant I don't have to fight the change in society and push in our region to try and limit diesel. Main reason is the more angular design of the dually is just plain sexy and I wanted it.
While I only ordered the truck Monday, I have an "anticipated" delivery around May 1st. Soon as I have pictures I will post them up.
Cheers
