I have a question about a motorcraft 2bbl. carb. which side is air and which side is gas? I cant find anything online but my dad caint figure it out, so i would be highly appreciative if yall could clue me in.
No disrespect intended but are you joking about the 2 barrel carb being one side for air and the other for fuel?
Anyway, both sides of the carb provide the engine with an air/fuel mixture. The air flow thru the "barrels" creates a vacuum that draws fuel from the bowl and mixes it as it heads to the manifold.
Robert's right- these are the idle mixture screws, one for each barrel. These control the air/fuel mix at idle with the throttle closed. Turn them both in until they gently seat. I usually back them out 1 1/2- 2 1/2 turns and do my final adjusting from there. you can hook up a vacuum gauge and adjust them or just turn them until it runs smooth.
