I was reviewing a page on Face Book and a local motel manager offered to host car meets. I sent him a message and asked if he could handle/would be interested in a Regional FTE meet. He responded faster than I could type the next question. It's a small motel in Princess Anne, Md. They have room, In their parking lot, for about 50 or so vehicles. They have a full service restaurant and breakfast is a part of the room coverage.
There are plenty of other motels, nearby and between them, they can handle a few hundred trucks and people. I think is is a great opportunity to get out and shake off the lock down blues. I have asked the regional Chapter Leaders to suggest dates and poll their chapters for interest. So, I am asking the Delaware members/ Is there an interest? If so, do you have a suggested date(s) frame? Do you have any suggestions for events or tours around the area? Princess Anne is close enough, we could do a group ride into Ocean City and enjoy the beach for a while.
As far as a date, Day or time for me doesn't matter for me. I just need some advanced notice of the date to actually make the plans and get someone to tend to the critters for 3 days.
I am the same way rod. Somewhat flexible. Ad I can always find a campground in the area if needed as I have plenty of tents if I want to stay the whole weekend.
I don't have a particular date in mind. I am leaning toward August, but I will get with Bud and see if, between the two of us, we can't come up with something.
Attached is a link the the hotel, whose manager has volunteered to host our get together. For those of you who are further out of the area, do a search for Princess Anne, Md. Crisfield, Md and Salisbury, Md to see some of the area attractions.
