a new trans

any recommendations for a good trans for a 63 f100 with a 292.. would like to know..

If manual, I think you can put a T-5, using an adapter and the tail piece from an S10 transmission. That was fairly common to do on the 57-60 trucks, I would think would work on Slicks. Probably comes through the floor closer to the seat, and may have to fab a different shifter.

Just get your transmission rebuilt if you want an automatic.

If you want something different, what would that be?
