hi everybody new to the forum. trying to do the high idle mod and and have not been able to get it to work and i was hoping to get some input what i could be doing wrong. i have #1 upfitter switch hooked up to the #7 pin yellow/green wire (pto1) in the passenger foot panel and i have a 20 k resistor between the #10 pin white/brown wire (diesel pto ref) and the #9 pin green wire (pto rpm). i started the truck put on the parking brake turned on the upfitter #1 switch and nothing. check voltage to the yellow/green from upfitter to passenger foot panel and have 14 volts. checked volts at white/brown and have 5 volts then checked green and it has 5 volts i don't think the green should have 5 volts on the other side of the resistor. double checked to make sure all the pins and wires were correct. thanks in advance . 2021 f-250 psd
Double check you have the correct yellow/green. There are 2 wires in that bundle with the same color scheme and very easy to grab the wrong one.
The rest of your setup looks good.
No doubting you at all, but did you follow the yellow/green #7 through the entire harness?
I asked only because there was another member who was having the same issue and just as adamant he had the correct wire. Until I mentioned there were 2 the same color. He retraced and found where they crossed and had wrong one. Very easy to do when in the tight quarters under the dash.
stryder thanks for your help. pulled the 3 wires from the bundle to make sure i had the right ones hooked them back up still don't work. 14 volts y/g 5 volts wt/br 5 volts green.i thought i read somewhere i should have .971 volts on the green wire. could i be using the wrong resistor. 1/4 watt 20k 1%
