got the bronco 2 23 gallon tank mocked up. fits nice, and has about 16" ground clearance. just had to move the rear x member back a little. the tank hangs aprox 8" below the frame ( 2wd longbox )
Looks great! How far up are you going to have it? It looks like you could move it up a bit more. I believe there's a 1.5-2" gap to the bed. Unless that's where a crossmember for the bed goes. I may have to use this tank to remove the one in the cab of my crewcab.

it's about as far up as i'm going to go, there's a x member just above where the sender goes, want to leave enough room for fuel line clearance. once the bed is on i think just a little will show. nice thing is i can still run my receiver and i can get to all the bumper bolts. i cut the fuel door out of a dent that i'll section in.
Just checked it out, looks good. Check out what I used on my rivets
a common failure is that guys dont oil up these air hammers enough...They fail way sooner than they would if they were oiled before AND During use....you wouldnt think of running your engine without oil....the piston inside that air hammer is needing a bunch of oil....once there is a scar...there will be an internal leak and loss of power...trick is not to let that scar happen...just a little tid bit...

yup, i know all about those things, i worked for a tool repair shop for a few years. a common problem with them also is the barrel loosening up, once that happens it won't work. need to crank that thing back down tight.
CBROWN used the same Harbor Freight hammer, that's why i posted the pic. HF used to be full of one use tools, but the new stuff they're coming out with is pretty good .
so my back went out right after i started this, finally feeling better , got the mounting done. made straps, still need to clean and paint and put the rubber isolators in. wound up with 16" of ground clearance. i welded the nuts to the inside of the x members. also mounted the mustang fuel filter bracket / filter
