Well guys, the truck is finally finished. It’s been a lot of fun and a whole lot of work, and I really appreciate all the help and advice that you guys gave along the way. I have to say that Eldon looks quite at home on the Kansas country roads that he has spent his entire life on. I won't be on these forums as much anymore, so I wanted to take a minute and say thanks.
1. Congrats on a great job bringing a great truck back to life! Thanks for all your pics.
2. They are never finished. You'll have little things that pop up that you'll need some help on.
3. Don't be a stranger. You can help lots of other guys here.
Great looking truck, you did a nice job restoring it back to life. I like the name a lot too......... I can relate because my first name is Eldon, both are unique in there own way, enjoy the ride!
Like Abe said, they are never finished. But I've got to say you have put all the time and detail into it so that it won't need much in the way of 'do-overs' just things to make it even better. You did a fantastic job and impressed many of us with your skills and determination. It will easily last another 75 years. Maybe with indestructible solar panels instead of painted oak in the bed because gasoline will be a prohibited substance by then.
Keep stopping by from time to time, you're always welcome.
