Hi everyone! New at this forum, I'm the proud owner of a 2013 Ford E-150 4.6L V8.
Yesterday driving home after work I felt something popped inside the dog house and coolant started leaking everywhere.
After removing the dog house and starting the engine, coolant was overflowing from a small inlet, please see picture.
I'm no mechanic but I definitely know something's missing here, I can't find any loose hoses or pieces, it's like whatever was there, disappeared.
Can anyone help? Thank you!
Not sure on your year, but on most of the older 4.6, this would be a heater connection, or heater bypass. Look for a connection around your heater housing.
The cap blew off , needs Dorman number #02250 and a clamp. While you are there pay close attention to the coolant hose next to it that is showing signs of failure right at the barb.
