Cam Phaser Rattle Recall

Anyone else get the recall notice for a reprogramming of the PCM to fix the cam phaser rattle. Went into my FordPass app today when I saw the message come up.

I saw it in the FordPass app, May 2019 build date on my truck, definitely not bothering with any PCM flash.

Got the recall performed on my truck today. Didn't notice anything on the way home, will wait for a cold start and report back and findings.

There is a potential negative downside every time you enter the Dealers door. If it were me, 'If it aint broke, don't try and fix it'

Your son doesn't need to worry about this, it doesn't apply to his truck, or his engine. But always worth checking for other recalls.

35 here on Long Island this morning. One thing I noticed is that the off throttle rattle when cold is definitely non existent anymore. I’m not sure if I’m still hearing it in my head or not but if it is still there it is almost non audible anymore.
