2004 f150 maintenance
Just picked up a 2004 f150 fx4 with 194k miles. From what I can tell everything seems to be running great, including no noise from the engine. I'd like to try and keep the engine issues I've heard about from creeping up if possible such as cam phasers and timing chain adjusters. I typically have ran full synthetic in my vehicles with 5k mile OCI. I found my local hardware store carries Motorcraft semi synthetic that I figured I'd change every 3-4k miles which would be about every 2 months. Wondering if there is something else I should be doing?

Well I guess I'd take a good luck at the FPDM above the spare tire for corrosion and to see if standoffs have already been fitted.
Also if the shifter is the least bit weird make sure the cable isn't burning through at the exhaust.
Change the trans fluid and consider installing a pan with a drain plug while it's down.
Use 5W-30 motor oil
