When I ask dumb questions, keep in mind I've never owned a truck before. Is the Power-Sliding Rear Window an option I want? I am more an A/C man on the highway, but when you get into a hot car it is good to get the hot air out as quickly as possible.
I like having the sliding rear window to be able to communicate when maneuvering the truck, whether it is backing up to something, unloading, offroad, etc.
With the shade open? How tall are you? I’m 6’3 and have never once rubbed the roof and I wear ball caps daily.
I'm 6'-2" with short legs and a long torso. With the height of the seat set to where my knees aren't above my hips my ball cap touches. I would have to lean over to the right to take advantage of having the shade open. Sunroof is a no for me in future trucks.
Back to the rear slider, definitely. Lets the hot air out of the cab, and there's no faster way to evacuate the contaminated air when your buddies drank too many beers and ate too many hot wings the night before! Plus my dogs really like it when I crack it open for them.

So you ride booster seat height? Explains why you are touching the headliner.
But sometimes you don't want the sun on your head, like in stop and go traffic.
My shade stays open until July or August and remains closed until October or so. The shade open makes the truck feel way bigger and more open than closed for sure. Not sure what motion has to do with sunlight. It's the same sitting still or moving as far as how the sun penetrates the glass.
Three (3) of my previous four (4) pick-ups had sliding rear windows, which I RARELY used (except maybe to carry an occasional piece of long lumber). I don't have a sliding window on this truck and don't miss it. Just my $0.02!
If you are getting a crew cab, rolling the 4 windows down is all you need to get rid of heat buildup. I've had a power slider on two trucks and don't think they have ever been opened. I would not pay extra just to get the power slider but if it came bundled with another option, I wouldn't care. The frame of the slider does obstruct the view aft but that isn't really an issue.
