HOW TO EDIT AN ORIOGINAL THREAD TITLE?

Thought I've seen from time to time on the forum a few Thread titled that was edited. For the couple of Threads I've ask for help / guidance and that have subsequently been solved, fixed, I would like to edit the original title and to the left of it perhaps type the word Solved or Fixed, signifying closure. Instructions on how to do this is appreciated.

Go the the thread you made and want to edit and open it. Make sure you are on the 1st post. It's your thread so you should be 1st.
Go to edit like normal, when it opens, go down just a bit to Go Advanced, there should be a block above the post info showing the title.
Then update and save.

I have tried to edit one many times with no luck. It seems to update a sub-title, but not the main title that shows up in the forum feed.

I have done it because I messed up on a new thread tile (spelling....lol) Spell check failed me and I did not proof read it. And I know other people that have done it. Bottom line, ask a moderator to help you.

DLBurch and Rich,

Thank you both. With the instructions you both provided I, printed them out then tried editing my most recent post title and it worked perfectly. Appreciate the guidance.

Almost lunch time here at work, going to put on walking shorts and take my lunch time walk. Took up walking during lunch since COVID restrictions closed down the Base / Fort / Camp gym; trying to find something good out of COVID imposed restrictions...
