I was attempting to dry fit some headers I just got for my 1964 F350. They hit a tab that had a spring running to the clutch. Not sure if it is factory or not can't find it in my manual. Here are a few pics. Clutch seemed to operated fine without the spring.

Clutch release (return) retracting spring. It’s definitely factory. Pretty sure it does what the name implies, the other end attatching to the clutch release lever on the transmission. Maybe straighten out the tab? Your F350 is dirtier than mine!
