Simple wheel question
Simple wheel question
I have 2020 F350 SRW CCSB 6.7 platinum, found some 20 inch black wheels removed off a 2021 F250 that I want to buy. Are they same wheel; dimensional and load carrying capacity ?
If they are factory wheels they are 8" wide x 20" diameter, 8x170mm bolt pattern, +40 offset, 124.9mm center bore, mounting flange type J.
They have the same load capacity on either truck. In short they will fit your truck just fine.
There isn't a change from 2017 - 2021 with regards to 20" wheels.

Good point, the F350 diesels and gas with 4.30 rear will have the larger dana axles which means the rear hub diameter will be larger. That said, there are some F250's with the dana axles....heavy duty trailer/tow package?
I’m going to call ford tomorrow and ask what part # fits mine , that should clear it up. Thanks for all the input !!

The front axle on both trucks is the same and there is no issue rotating the wheels front to back, sooooo......there shouldn't be any difference in hub diameter. Where the difference might be is in hub length(shorter on the rear Sterling). Center caps might be different on the 350 to accommodate that.
Yes, the wheel should be the same. If you can, see if they show a different center cap. From what I recall the hub on the Dana axle protrudes farther out than the Sterling rear does, but maybe all center caps can accommodate either rear axle.
thanks- hope to get over there in next few days
If you're only doing a wheel swap, it sounds like you've found your answer. If you're swapping a wheel/tire combo, check the load index on the tire. I swapped my F250 wheels for a set of black sport wheels/tires from a F350. Both sets of tires were load range E however, my OE tires on the 250 were 123 and the tires from the 350 were 126. Just something to keep an eye on.

The original 20" Michelin A/T tires on my F250(no extra load packages) are no different than those that come on an F350.
