Transfer Case Motor
Hey guys. I have. 2006 F250 4x4 and we just got a lot of snow. My 4x4 hasn't worked for some time now but now that I need it, I need to figure it out. Im going to put a light test on the plug going into the transfer case motor to see if it has power. I have heard that if you take the TC-motor off you can actually manually switch the truck into 4x4. I am not driving it much but need the 4x4 for a couple of days. If this will work, will I harm anything by doing this? Will it stay in the 4x4 position or will it move back to 4x2? Might be investing in a new transfer case motor soon....
