I live in Independence Missouri. Anyone on here live in my area? I had major surgery a month ago. I am looking for someone to help me rewire my 53. I have EZ 21 circuit kit. I have the fuse box mounted and the wires laid out. Really need the help. I want to get my truck back on the road this summer
Do you know anyone in the “Early Ford V8” club in your area. If so I am sure there is someone in the club that would help out. I am in a club in PA and we frequently give a hand in similar situations.
Did know about Early Ford V8 club in my area. They probably wouldn’t help anyway. I have a Chevy SB in my truck. Came with it when I bought it. Been more about getting the cab rust fixed and back on the road then swapping out the motor.
i think you will find that most car club members are “car people” and are willing to help another car enthusiast what ever the problem. Nothing ventured Nothing gained.
The V8 Club is a lot more relaxed about modified cars these days. As the general membership aged the resistance to power steering, automatic transmissions, etc have faded a lot. The club still promotes restoration, but at least the south Texas chapters don't run off folks with modified vehicles. I'm in the Houston chapter and we have had members drive small block powered vehicles on tour (even a 55 ch**y).
Well, if a Gremlin leads a tour and you have to go through a narrow underpass and the Gremlin fits then you know the other vehicles will fit!
I think you might be thinking about the Pacer. The Gremlin is more the size of a Pinto. If you recall the Pacer was wide enough to make a giant sub sandwich in.
