I have a few questions in reference to the Diablo Chip for the 2001 F-250 5.4L gas engine. First, I purchased my Diablo chip a little over a year age. Recently, my truck has been stalling out at highway speeds. Sometimes it would re-start right away and sometimes not. Yesterday, I had to have her towed to the local Ford dealer as she wouldn't re-start.
I pulled the chip out last night at the dealership, (before they even looked at the truck) and guess what. Truck started right up. My question is this.
1 - Could there be something wrong with the chip after it worked fine for a year. When it first started stalling, I removed the chip, re-sanded all of the contacts and re-secured the chip with Duct tape. THis did not help. Truck would stall out at various times and driving conditions.
2- Is there a re-flash for my particular chip and if so, how can I have this done. And how much?
3- If I have to send the chip back for a re-flash, do I have to pull the number off of the computer or is there a number on the chip which will tell what computer model I have. The following numbers are written on the chip I currently have...
M29F 4008T
7ON1 (not sure if the "O" is a zero or letterO)..
5886Y
0112
Ford DiabloChip
Rev 3.1
2/01 KK
I appreciate any advice or information anyone can offer.

I just wanted to let you know that I called the store today and spoke with Jolene. I explained everything to her and she was wonderful. She provided me with the information I needed to return the item. I just wanted to let you know how helpful she was and how much I appreciate it.
