I’ve seen some rumors that the interior is going to be updated to be similar to the 2021 F-150. Has anyone heard when that will happen?? Anyone found any pictures of it or any details?
im trying to decide if I should grab a 2021, or wait for a 2022!!
The F-150 and SD are currently on a 2 year offset, so expect the next significant refresh of the SD for the 2023 model year. That will reportedly coincide with the first refresh of the Silverado/Sierra HD and the (finally) new Ram HD which should move to the new Ram 1500's cab. Expect new interiors for all of them, diesel performance tweaks, potentially some upgraded gasoline engines at Chevy/GMC/Ram, and some new transmissions behind the Cummins.
I know the definitive answer on this...
‘No one knows.
That's what I was afraid of. I've seen the speculation that they will stay 2 years behind the f-150, and others that think it will be 2022. The Ram interior is super nice, but dang I want Godzilla under the hood.
I've seen you post this several times. Do you know something or just trolling those who ask about 2022 redesign? It would be great to know for those thinking about ordering. I need my truck in the spring so waiting is not an option for me, but it might be for others.

when I was buying mine 12/30/20, the dealer told me new interior would be 2023.
When was the last time ford did a major interior update without doing the same to the exterior? Powertrain updates? If there were any updates coming we'd have seen spy shots by now. Expect the update to be MY 2023. BIG update. BIG! HUGE!!
I just want to know when they will do away with that tiresome “new car” smell and go with something like skunk so we will quit being addicted to that scent!

The "new car smell" is actually all the toxic glues and solvents and plastics used in construction of the vehicle. It's sky high in VOC's and shouldn't be inhaled. Leave the windows down in the sun on a new ride if you can, it helps to evaporate the fumes.
