Windshield Post Repair
I have a 84 F- Series pickup. I let my nephew drive and he hit a tree right on the windshield post. The dent isn't too big ,but it shoved the post just far enough back that the windshield leaks now.
I am in the process of repairing the truck and want to fix it so I am ready to paint. Has anyone out there done this type of repair?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the proper way is to remove the windshield and push the post back where it was orignally.
If the windshield didn't break from the hit your lucky ,but you got to be very careful removing it .
because you know there is tension on it now
I worked on alot of rollovers yrs ago ,I used to get them where the windshield didn't break in the accident ,but when you tried to remove them they would bust.
