Hello, Been reading these forums for a while. Finally took the time to join and introduce you to Blacky. A 1949 F1 that has been in the family since the seventies. We got it in 2003, put it in a barn until time and money allowed a build. Finally got it done. Repowered with a healthy 351W and a top loader 4 speed. Complete rewire and convert to 12v. Complete brake system, kept it all drums for now(working great). Oak floor in bed from our own property. New headliner and reupholstered the seat. With the help of our friend, it has been a great project for my sons and I.1949 Ford F1 351 Windsor Repower Adventure - YouTube If you can spare 10 minutes here is a video of our build. first time out of the barn in 16 years installing a 351W oak harvested from our property first fill up and ready to cruise!
Well Done Ken. Please provide us with the Patriot header part number that worked for you so we don't need to also try 30 sets of headers! Seriously tho, did any tri-y headers fit? I know the 351w with the taller deck makes fitment and issue, but for use 289/302 guys maybe there is some hope. Nice truck!
One more question - cam specs please!
