I have a reservation with a local dealer and they called me to see if I still want to order a Bronco.
I get there and their pricing includes the 1995.00 Resitall dealer installed package that they say I MUST purchase with the Bronco I order.
If I donʻt buy the Resistall I have to wait until the next round of ordering, our dealer has a 40 unit allotment from Ford.
So everyone who wants a New Bronco from the dealer MUST pay for the Resistall whether they want it or not. This does not sound correct.
Do you have to pay for something you donʻt need? Sound like extortion to me.
They are not budging on this matter and taking money off the markup, I will stop by another dealer on Monday and see what kind of offer I get, or just wait until the next round of orders and make sure I donʻt have to pay for the Resistall package.
I would find another dealer. Resistall is an aftermartket product with mixed reviews and extremely expensive for what it is, it's not a factory product and really isn't neccessary.
Or wait but I surely wouldn't pay that much for the stuff.
Your dealer is screwing you. this is wrong, and in some states its in fact illegal to have any mandatory packages or options that are not advertised and disclosed.
I called Ford and they said that the dealer is not supposed to force the option on me in order to place the order.
I plan to visit the dealer today after I finish work. They may consider since I have information now that they might not like.
Find a new dealer. They may reconsider, but if they're the type of dealer to do this to customers on the front end of a sale, I wouldn't want to work with them on the back end.
