97 Navi dash lights
Howdy everyone. Having a perplexing problem with my 97 navigator. Dash lights will flash, go dim, go out completely(including door, steering wheel, ac controls) and them maybe 20 minutes later come back on and work well for 30 more minutes.
Hi beam indicator is not affected. Also, radio, navigational system display lights, and clock are affected, but at different levels. Any helpon this? No codes

My 98 Expedition has the same problem, but my overhead trip computer stay on as does the radio, when the dash, both AC controls and steering wheel and door swith lights go off.
My shorting lights are on the 5 amp. fuse #18. I do not have a electrical schematic, and it does not appear to be a normal short as it does not really appear to be consistencely affected by rough road or viberation.
The shorting lights are on the same dimmer switch as the radio and the overhead trip computer.
Untill I can run it down, I ve bought two blue LED s that plug into the 12 volt plug in.
