There are companies that sell conversion kits. I am using a Ford Motorsports kit but you probably won’t be able to find one of them new anymore. There is a company ( Stinger Performance) that used to be on this forum. They are selling new computers that you can tune at home to work with your speed density system so there is no need to convert. Here is a current thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...x-install.html
The question is why you want to do this conversion? What changes are you making to the engine? Speed density can cope with some things like headers instead of the stock manifolds
No need to MAF swap for that.
I have 351w stock bottom end, long tube headers, 3881 intake, ported E7s, XE258HR-12 cam.
I will be putting on Edelbrock 60399 heads, once they ship(May 2021, weeks away!), and will not be doing MAF swap.
Runs using stock EEC-IV Speed Density(SD), small hunting idle issue(650-900rpm), doesn't miss a beat once the gas pedal is pressed.
Both MAF and SD systems can be tuned for optimal performance, really depends on budget .
If your specific engine build and vehicle use require MAF, there are many posts with success and also the pain stories of all the possible issues.
Some may say tuning SD is just as painful as doing the MAF swap.
