Overdrive box
Does anyone have overdrive separate from the transmission? I have 4:56 gears (3000RPM @60MPH) and am interested in a simple overdrive to drop RPM’s at cruise, but I do not have room at the back of my transmission due to the transfer case. Best case would be a 1:1 switch 2:1 after the transfer case to the rear wheels. Web search has not been fruitful, most OD are on the trans output and 1.2:1.

Nothing easy or simple.
You aren't going to find 2:1, or a .50 OD either.
If you have the OEM engine and transmission, your bell to transmission pattern is the old square pattern. You might be able to find a way around that with a Ranger OD. But those are now discontinued as well, so you'd have to find a used one. Info and a recent conversion story:

Keep in mind this moves everything back, so you need to fiddle with all your mounts and get your driveshafts shortened/lengthened.
