fuel pump not running code 0232

Well My baby put me down for the first time tonight. It gave a little hesitation and then about a minute later died on me. The fuel pump is not running and it is showing a code of 0232 which shows to be fuel pump relay driver circuit fail off. I am not at all familiar with what this may relate to. I checked the fuse and tried another relay in an attempt to get me back home but neither was the problem. Can anyone give me any pointers on where I should start looking.

My piece of crap connector snapped off on top of the tank. Thank god it was home but it was a PITA to diagnose and fix.

That code definition says it's the DRIVER circuit for the FP relay; NOT the relay; NOT the pump. The driver circuit would be INSIDE the EEC. Try jumping power to the FP and see if the engine runs.

Hey Steve thanks for the input . I had an idea that might be the case, but when I put 12 volts directly to the pump harness it still didnt run (I couldnt find a way to jumper mine like the older models) and I had proper supply voltage on the harness comming from the fp relay. I got the new pump in and it fired right up. Only thing is I think I might have spent a 140$ over a bad connection, because now that the old pump is out I can get it to run. Well at least I'll have a spare if I need it. Think I will get back under there and put some elect. grease in the plug though. It was dry and I forgot to do it while I was working on it. I also heard that when you start being able to hear your pump, its on its way downhill and the new pump is much quieter. Is that true.
