Less computing power was needed to fly the space shuttle.

Nice but I think you could make it less busy by deleting the MPH and RPM since that is redundant. But I like it.

I have that stuff on my Pioneer HU with iDatalink. I've never used it once other than to stumble across it and think "cool", when setting it up.

Yeah the monitoring crap started back when we were towing with the 7.3. Although it's cool to look at, and gave me a warm feeling setting it up I probably won't use it.

actually there are a few items that are important to monitor.

EGT 11 is important as you don't want to shut down a hot turbo. EGT 14 is an indication of post DPF temps, useful to not shut it down when too darn hot due to a regen.

Regen is also another one to know, when it active or off. Nothing worse then shutting it down, again stuff is hot and oil dilution.

Distance since last regen is useful to detect issues with the emissions. Based upon trends and use.

Actual coolant and oil temps are useful for some of the same reasons.

C'mon Captain, you don't need an altimeter and artificial horizon in space!

Looks great! I got used to lots of data with an Edge CTS in my old duramax. It didn't work worth a flip in my 18 250. Still trying to figure out a data solution with some sort of tablet in the 21 and how to mount it. Adding the TST system so will likely do a ram mount in the upper tray.

My question is: With all that data available, what are you, or anyone else going to do when a certain number isn’t within spec? These trucks and almost every vehicle made today do so much for us (whether we like it or not) if I have to start watching stuff that isn’t usually displayed I think that’s a bit backwards in technology. Yea yea, peace of mind cool. But there are probably less than 1% on this forum who can diagnose, much less repair their own crap when they notice an issue (if they notice). What’s everyone else to do, go to the forum and ask a ? Or take it to the dealer? If you’re one of the guys That can do all awesome, if not, what’s the point? I think “out of sight, out of mind” is much better than “peace of mind” in these instances. Like the reply above about regen and shutting the truck off and such, if Ford wanted y’all to worry about this they’d have came from the assembly line lookin’ like an airplane cockpit. If it’s for the cool factor, rock on. I’m down with that. In this day and age, I wanna start my truck, drive it, do regular maintenance and go about my day. My opinion take it as you will. 🤙

Yep, mainly for the cool factor. Like I said above back in my 7.3 days of towing a camper monitoring vitals was more critical. With these new trucks, stock not tuned, watching all the data this and that is pointless. My wife got me the Tesla style infotainment system for Christmas so I'm still in setup mode. Will I go down the road watching it all.. Nope.
