FORD built some interesting quality HT before it decided to abandon its' customer base.
There is no LTL8000, the LTL long hood was only available in the 9000 model thus called the LTL9000 or LL9000 if single axle
LN/LNT = shortest hood with half the fender attached to the cab
L/LT = longer hood with complete fender attached to the hood
LS/LTS = same hood length as L but head lights set back and half the fender attached to the cab like on LN model
LT/LTL9000= longest hood with intake vents on both sides of the hood, hood design was changed in 82 with 4 square headlights and more squared off grill, only model to use that style lights and grill.
Aero Max = same design as LS with set back axle but with composite headlight lens angled to improve aerodynamics
I've driven all of them and owned a LTL9000
