2019 Expedition
Found a good deal on a 2019 expedition with 12,000 miles. Play to run synthetic in it and change every 5,000 miles. Will be mostly a highway vehicle. Anything else I need to keep in mind for longevity?

Congratulations! I also own a 2019 Exp MAX and love it! Your regular oil maintenance along with the other scheduled fluid changes will go a long way to maximizing the life of your mechanicals. If you plan on driving in dusty conditions, be sure to change the air filter every 12k too. Happy driving! 🙂

Yeah my oil life monitor will let it go to 10,000 miles but the oil looks way past due at that point, I've changed mine on my 2015 every 5,000 miles and will roll 150,000 this year. I use the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend 5W-30 like the manual says though. I asked the service manager at my dealer about going to the full synthetic and he said Ford recommends the blend and that they got better oil analysis results from it for some reason. I thought they would jump on the opportunity to let me pay for the more expensive oil but that was convincing enough for me to stick with what the manual called for.
