I’m wanting to convert my 84 F150 to manual steering for weight reduction. It is a full time drag truck so I don’t have to worry about street driving. I have an after market front drive as well so deleting the pump is a breeze. Does anybody know of a manual box for these trucks. Maybe quick ratio units? Thanks guys!
Thing is to find other models that share the same box for more options.
I thought someone had a manual box on their truck so they must make them.

Earlier on, the base models of these trucks came with manual steering boxes. I know they came as late as 1982, but I personally haven't seen one newer than that. I think power steering must have become standard equipment in 1983. Anyway, if you look on RockAuto you will see that new manual steering boxes are available. I've seen them on there. Your local auto parts shop may be able to get them as well.
Checked RockAuto and there's one on there, 4th line down...
