I got a temp setup from glow shift. Its a separate system that is inline with the upper rad hose and requires its own gauge. I have done the sender switch and still had no readings on the oem also same issue with the oil pressure so it also has its own gauge with a sender setup from glow shift.

I'm not familiar with the temp gauge circuit on your vehicle specifically, but generally speaking most (older) vehicles have the sensor plugged in near the t-stat, a wire coming out of it going to the temp gauge, and power and ground also going to the gauge. The sensor is a temperature sensitive resistor and the gauge really just is displaying the level of resistivity (or Ohms) of the sensor.
If that's the basic setup yours uses, you should probably check for any blown fuses, check for continuity in the signal wire and check for ground and power at the gauge with key on,
