CD Player
2003 Ford F150, factory 6CD in-dash CD player. Player does not work, but I sure would like it too. Does anyone know if an Explorer CD player would be the same as in my pick up ? I think if I looked at the local pick and pull, it would be easier to find one out of an Explorer ? And, if not, does anyone out there have a nice used, working CD player they would like to sell ? Everyone seems to replace factory stereos with a killer 600 Watt system, if so, let me know. Thanks again !

Radio works great, checked on -line for places that offer rebuilt units, or rebuild yours. NO rebuilts available, rebuild service too expensive. Maybe it's time for a new single disc, updated CD Player, with MP3 capability. Read that 6CD Ford player is prone to alot of problems. Will call some Salvage Yards tomorrow, just to get an idea on price. Thanks again !!!

There are videos online that show disassembly of the some 6 disc cd players in order to remove jammed discs. Might be worth it to disassemble partially, if your curious to see if maybe a spring or other part came loose. Being in a vehicle cd players take a lot of abuse from road bumps. Springs come loose, belts slip off, cd's jam, etc.
Don't know if this is your unit but seems relatively easy to inspect with basic tools.
