Condensation on front cap

We are currently ensconced in south Florida. First time cold weather camping with North Star, but have winter camped in much colder weather in past in other rigs.

Front cap is drenched in the morning. Roof vent is full open when we sleep and inside temperature only in mid-50s, outside mid-40s small electric heater runs only intermittently, not using furnaces at all. Have to towel dry wall when waking.

Any ideas I haven’t thought of to reduce comdensation?

The furnace dries out my trailer more than my space heater does.

Electric space heater accomplished the same thing. Both circulate and heat inside air.

Electric heaters don't treat the air, IE dry it out. A furnace will dehumidify the air.

So air passed over a heated metal element differs from air passed over a heat metal surface?

I guess the point being...additional vents that the heat is coming though vs one heater

I did a bunch of reading and I was slightly wrong Neither a furnace or an electric heater dry the air out. The furnace will likely keep it warmer thus keeping the air from condensing.

I don’t see how that changes the temperature of the air contacting the front cap which is what causes the condensation.

Usual suggestions normally involve using a dehumidifier during the winter months, which is not realistic or leaving a vent open which I already do. Ideally I would use a barrier such as a drape between the cap and warm air or a cap more heavily insulated would really help but again no way to do it. Having a cold cap is like blowing warm air on a cold metal surface.

At elevation in October we have to put a pot of water next to the furnace vent to try and keep up the humidity in the trailer.

You can find these at Camping World, Walmart, etc.

They help.

Electric heater maintains same air temperature as furnace.

plenty of humidity here on Florida coast.

I used them while full time RVing in a 4 Season Mountain Aire..... They help but condensation will form around the aluminum window frames. Many RV's have a built in vent to allow them to breath without loosing a lot of heat. I kept these in it even while in storage.
