Takeoff tailgate & bumper value
We have some tailgates & bumpers that were taken off the trucks here at work when new. They have been taking up space for years, it is time to get rid of them. I just don't have any idea on value.Any educated guesses out there?
2007 base model Super Duty gate & chrome bumper. Gate has a couple of scratches.
2013 base model Super Duty gate & chrome bumper. Gate has a couple of tiny scratches.
2018 base model Super Duty gate & chrome bumper. Hasn't been in the warehouse long enough to get any scratches.
Thanks for any insight!!

a local guy gets anywhere from $100 to $400 depending on the year for tailgates, 90% of his are White, assuming yours are also. Not sure what the market is on the bumpers, if they have the plastics on them and you can get them off without breaking the tabs they are probably worth more than the bumper with them installed, cheaper to ship too.

Thanks for the reply! These gates are Resale red, not sure if that matters. A little searching indicates that the 2018 gate is almost worthless, since the market is flooded with takeoffs of new, current model year trucks. There doesn't seem to be many of the older gates out there new.
I like the idea of selling the plastics separate! Much easier to ship. Thanks!

Yeah this seems to vary wildly by region. Some people around here ask $800+ for tailgates. I doubt they're getting that but maybe.
I think $200 to $400 is fair.
Bumpers seem harder to unload. I've gotten to where I'm sick of mouth breathers from local listing like CL and eventually I get tired of tripping over them so they often just go to scrap.

I looked on ebay, looks like the 2018 is selling on there for A LOT, some of the olders are selling stripped or bare for around 125 with free shipping, must be chinese aftermarket.
As much as I hate to say, FB marketplace WAS at one point a fairly good place to sell, you will get 500 messages asking if its still available but I have found that if you just ignore them and they are serious they will send a real inquiry.
Lots of craft beer joints put some tailgates and bumpers on the wall as decoration, maybe you can trade a tailgate for a decent bar tab.

Around here tailgate sell from anywhere from 150-$200 in OK shape some dents scratches used condition all the way up to 800 to 1000 to 1200 $ for brand new take offs and if they have the steps or cameras or anything like that it’s in the upper range but they average about 500 bucks. The older ones anywhere from $150-$300
The cleaner and newer they are the more expensive they are the 2010 to 2016 tailgates they have super duty stamped tend to go for $500 or more
