Paging JWA
I tried to send a pm as well as a reply to an old note but the system wouldn't let me.
So today I ran into Linda Vaugh at the local Ralph's grocery store. She looked great and we chatted for a couple of minutes. While she's popular with my local buddies I know you are a big fan.
Best wishes and take care, hope you and your family are doing well. If you want to reach out send me a PM (BTW, who's that in your profile pic?)

I only met her once back in '85 during a small and star studded private party in the administration offices of the Indiana State Fairgrounds after a winged sprint car race. Among the celebrities there that night were James Garner, Paul Newman, J.B.Hunt, Sammy Swindell, Steve Kinser, Kent McCord--a few other top tier driver's had popped in and out---that little get together lasted about 1.5 hours and I was literally the mouse in the corner, knowing to take it all in, keep quiet and NOT embarrass my photographer friend who had "snuck" me in.
Instead of me embarrassing him he set me up to be slightly embarrassed in front of a few of those gathered by Ms Vaughn herself. Good lord VERY VERY few of our young man fantasies or dreams of fabulous women EVER come true but that night was truly one of the most unbelievable 20 second events ever.
Linda had/has this charm to disarm almost any man including the one in my shoes that night; nothing happened apart from a kiss and I do mean full-on lip lock, not a smooch on the cheek. Since it was a closed or private affair it was never caught on camera but I was as red-faced as her deep vee neck slightly too small red jump suit. Kinda like this:
I'm sure she didn't enjoy that kiss nearly as much as me BUT I do know she's slightly mischievous which is what lead to that kiss. For about a million reasons beginning in the early 60's up to and well after that evening she's always been on of those people I can't---and won't---forget. She proved being crazy gorgeous doesn't make a woman dumb---she could bench race and talk shop with everyone, was not afraid to tell A.J. Foyt he was wrong AND crazy too.

I'd heard Linda had some health issues a few years back but sooooooo glad she's doing well. I watched a short video posted on YouTube September 2020 where she seems to be doing well.
So before I go on another 10 pages thanks Mike---I've added you to my Contacts list so you're welcome to PM me without any hassles now. BTW nice looking sprinter---the E-Series was nice as well. I see you maintained your color scheme!
Thanks again Mike!
PS: That's Mary Calvi as my new avatar---hot "older" chick (51) who is a news anchor for the CBS's local affiliate station out of New York. She was recently a fill-in for Deborah Norville of Inside Edition.

MOE, thanks! The top is Dodge Viper Red, the bottom color on my Sprinter is the same as that OEM silver on my Econoline. My painter said that's the best silver to match with the viper red.
